Hello,
I am fairly new to positing on here so I'll do my best to stick to the rules as close as possible so I apologize in advance.
For simplification, I am trying to do a test consisting of two separate 50k resistors each having their own voltage supply. I then use ADE Explorer to simulate these resistors with different models (models that makes the resistor values high, nominal, or low) to see the variation over processes. If I simulate with a model that makes the resistance higher than average then both of these resistors will have higher resistance and vice versa is true if I use a low resistance model. In other words, if I use one model then all of my resistors will affected. I am aware that I can use the corner feature of ADE Explorer to simulate two different models on two different corners, but as far as I know, I cannot simulate two different models simultaneously under one corner since doing this will cause a model collision. My reason for doing this is that I would like to have more control over what I'm simulating over processes by individually assigning different models to different instances. This could sophisticate the debugging process and get a better understanding on nodes sensitivity.
Using the two resistor test as reference, I've tried editing the model name of one resistor through "Variable and Parameters" window by replacing it with the directory of the model I want to use (Cadence Help doesn't specify exactly what needs to typed in the Value column) and leaving the other resistor as is. I've also created a corner with a different model than the one I added through the "Variable and Parameters". After playing with the syntax, I was finally able to get the simulator to accept directory of the model and expected that the resistance value of both resistors will be different but that was not the case. Their resistance came out exactly the same. I assume that the simulator only took the model in the corner into consideration.
I've looked into the Multi-Technology Simulation (MTS), but I can't find how to enable nor can I find it in general.
