Change Default Trace Type

I know you can change trace style/color/thickness through editing the following lines in .cdsenv

viva.trace lineThickness string "fine"

viva.trace lineStyle string "solid"

Maybe it works for viva when in standalone mode or whatever, that's fine.

I want to change the default trace type from line to sampleHold. The choices are line, points, histogram, bar, spectral, samleHold.

Right now I change it manually every time I plot in one of two ways:

virtuoso version 6.1.7-64b

By the way, I am using ADE Explorer to plot.
