Layout XL: How can I create different pins for an electrically connected layout?

Hello,

I have created a custom resistor in Layout XL. I am trying to add different pins for the input and the output of this resistor, but when I add a pin to the resistor, the pin information propagates through the resistor to the output. How can I add different pins to this electrically connected layout?
