Hello everyone,
I ask a question here last week and get great help , and I have another question after simulating. I read the guideline "Using Spectre RF Analyses for Non-RF Circuits", which is shown as below:
page 20 of the note says "Select fullspectrum method. This option eliminates the need to tune the maxsidebands option", but simulation results are the same no matter that I use pnoisemethod=default or pnoisemethod=fullspectrum.
I did another test that giving different "maxsideband"(based on noisefmax setting in transient noise simulation) value when I use "pnoisemethod=fullspectrum", and output integrated noise will become larger when I give a bigger maxsideband(it makes sense to me).
I can't find the description about the relationship between "fullspectrum method" and "maxsideband" in spectre manual.
My question is simple: Should I use "pnoisemethod=fullspectrum"? I think it is more reasonable for me that ignoring pnoisemethod=fullspectrum and give an appropriate maxsideband now.
Thanks
